All eyes on Cowboys rookie DE Randy Gregory before he disappears

IRVING – All eyes were trained on Randy Gregory. It was easy to spot him in his No. 94 jersey – the same one worn by two of the franchise’s most-accomplished pass rushers, Charles Haley and DeMarcus Ware.

It was also hard to miss Gregory on Friday when he left the field with a trainer clutching his arm. Yes, the Cowboys’ second-round pick didn’t make it through his first practice day at the team’s rookie minicamp because of dehydration, head coach Jason Garrett confirmed.

Before Gregory woozily retreated to the Cowboys’ Valley Ranch facility, the 6-4 defensive end, who is listed at 235 pounds, admitted that the soupy air and high temperatures bothered him at a light morning workout.
