The attachment was strong both ways – the fans for Alfred Morris and vice versa. Morris clearly is a guy who likes to remember his roots, which is why he still drives his 1991 Mazda. It’s why he liked talking to workers at FedEx Field in the stands before games and it’s why he’d occasionally stop and chat with guards at the security entrance to Redskins Park.
But that attachment made it tough for both sides to say goodbye when Morris signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Thursday night, Morris finally did so with three tweets to Redskins fans.
