Agent: Cowboys, DT Osa Odighizuwa reach 4-year $80M deal

The Dallas Cowboys and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa reached agreement on a four-year, $80 million contract that includes $58 million guaranteed, his agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Odighizuwa receives a $20 million signing bonus in the deal, agent Sam Leaf Ireifej told Schefter.

The Cowboys were prepared to use the franchise tag if they couldn't agree to a contract with Odighizuwa before Tuesday's deadline, sources had told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano.

This is the latest big-money extension handed out by the Cowboys to a home-grown player in the past two years, following the extensions for quarterback Dak Prescott (four years, $240 million) and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (four years, $136 million) last year.
