According to Adam Schefter, Jerry Jones may be leading the charge to keep Mike McCarthy.

The tenor surrounding the Dallas Cowboys will change before dusk reaches The Star in Frisco. When Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys game comes to an end the team will be tasked with getting off of the proverbial (maybe literal) couch and doing some serious work. They have been eliminated from playoff contention for a couple of weeks now and known that this is their fate, nevertheless Jerry Jones seems prepared to let the situation with Mike McCarthy drag on throughout the next week.

The situation here is that McCarthy’s contract is expiring and the Cowboys need to either come to terms with him on a new one (a matter he technically has a say in) or inform him that they are moving on.
