A family tragedy has WR Michael Gallup uncertain for Thursday’s game vs. Redskins

Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Gallup’s status for Thursday’s game against the Washington Redskins following the tragic death of his brother.

Coach Jason Garrett confirmed that Gallup’s brother died of an apparent suicide.

Gallup was notified in the locker room following Sunday’s 22-19 victory against the Atlanta Falcons and became visibly distraught while being consoled by receivers coach Sanjay Lal, turning a homecoming into a tragedy.

“We just found out after the ballgame that his brother had committed suicide and just wanted to leave it at that,” Garrett said on 105.3 The Fan Monday morning. “Obviously a very personal matter.
