1. Famous classmates
Johnson was born in Port Athur, Texas and went to high school (Port Arthur Jefferson) with Janis Joplin and actor G.W. Bailey (think Captain Thaddeus Harris in the Police Academy movies). Johnson played for the Razorbacks’ 1964 national championship team and was nicknamed “Jimmy Jumpup” because he never stayed on the ground for long during football practices or games.
