The Dallas Cowboys have several big decisions to make regarding new contracts including for star running back Ezekiel Elliott. Zeke is entering his fourth season with the Cowboys and is looking for a new contract. Cowboys report host Tom Downey takes a look at Zeke’s accomplishments through three seasons and compares him to some other NFL running backs as far as contracts go.
Ezekiel Elliott and his agent are going to point to Todd Gurley and his contract as a starting point for a new deal. Gurley got paid after his third season in the NFL and received a 4-year, $57.5 million dollar contract with $45 million guaranteed. Zeke wants to be the highest-paid RB in the NFL and Gurley’s contract is a baseline for just that.
