The latest Dallas Cowboys rumors & news is focused on players Robert Quinn, Ezekiel Elliott, Brett Maher, Tony Pollard, Dorance Armstrong & Taryn Christion. Cowboys training camp is in full motion as they gear up for their first 2019 NFL preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on August 10th. The most notable Cowboys news is Robert Quinn’s suspension & injury. Robert Quinn was suspended for 2 games for reportedly testing positive for a PED substance. Quinn’s agent says it is a substance he uses for his seizures, but it is unknown whether or not Quinn will appeal the suspension. Quinn also fractured his left hand & it will require surgery. However, Quinn is expected to be ready for week one of the regular season.
In Cowboys rumors, Ezekiel Elliott & the Dallas Cowboys have not made any progression on a long-term contract extension. Ezekiel Elliott’s holdout is still in effect, but Jerry Jones & Stephen Jones are confident that they will be able to get a deal done with the All-Pro RB. Plus, kicker Brett Maher has been struggling during Cowboys camp & it has not been pretty. Out of 10 Cowboys practices, Maher has had a perfect day only once. Over a two-day span, Maher missed kicks from 32 & 33 yards out, which brings concern to Cowboys fans & personnel. Should the Cowboys be worried about Brett Maher? Is Brett Maher on the hot seat? Will the Cowboys bring in some competition such as Matt Bryant?
Also, Tony Pollard has made a great first impression during his time at NFL training camp. QB Dak Prescott is raving about the Cowboys rookie, saying he brings a versatile skill set to the Cowboys offense & he is doing everything right. Could Pollard be a potential breakout candidate for the Cowboys in 2019?

In other Cowboys news, the Cowboys have made some recent roster moves by signing TE Marcus Lucas & OL Juwann Bushell-Beatty. To make room for these players, the Cowboys cut OL Derrick Puni & WR Lance Lenoir. Lance Lenoir is the most notable name on this list, but Lenoir will require surgery on his patellar tendon, so it was the right move. Could this be the last we see from Lance Lenoir, who has been a fan favorite over the years? Only time will tell. The Cowboys are reportedly looking to trade an OL or DL to shore up another position before the start of the regular season. The Cowboys are loaded on both lines so they have valuable assets they can use to trade for. The only question is, what position should the Cowboys trade for?
