The Dallas Cowboys enter training camp with a healthy portion of their roster and starting 22 intact, but there's still plenty of intrigue to be had when it comes to in-camp competitions at a handful of positions. Here's our list of the 3 Crucial Position Battles In The Cowboys' 2015 Training Camp.
3. Fullback
Tyler Clutts looked to be out of a job just a bit ago, and now he's the clear favorite to take over the starting fullback job. He'll have to fend off free agent signee Ray Agnew in camp and/or the possibility that the Cowboys will go without a fullback on their final 53-man roster.
2. Left Guard
What role will La'el Collins play this year after signing on as an undrafted free agent? He'll have to have a beyond-stellar training camp to unseat two-year starter Ron Leary who hell down the first-team job for most of OTAs. We'll have to see how things shape up when the two start getting into the swing of things in pads.
1. Running Back
DeMarco Murray's departure to the Philadelphia Eagles leaves a 2,261-yard, 449-touch hole in the backfield that likely won't be replaced by the current crop of Cowboys RBs. Joseph Randle looks like a slight favorite over the recently-acquired Darren McFadden for the designation of starting running back, even though Randle has never had more than 54 carries in a season. McFadden, on the other hand, has missed 19 games over seven seasons due to injury and saw his effectiveness limited when healthy as of late behind a porous Raiders offensive line.
