The Dallas Cowboys have the No. 4 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft. Couple that with an aging (and at this point injury-prone) QB in Tony Romo, many think the Cowboys could draft a QB in the first round of this year's NFL Draft. But according to Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning-News, that won't be case.
Gosselin thinks the Cowboys should draft a QB, but doesn't believe that will end up being the case. The main reason Gosselin feels that way is because he doesn't feel Jerry Jones, or the fans, are patient enough to draft a QB.
He believes the Cowboys will instead look at a pass rusher, cornerback or even a RB to help win now. Gosselin says that will help ticket sales, as Jones and the fans remain in win-now mode.
While Gosselin would prefer the team take a QB to prevent the same issues the team ran into after Troy Aikman retired. But he doesn't believe that will happen, although he does think they'll take a developmental QB at some point.
