Cowboys rumors have all been about Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper the last few weeks. It was reported that the Cowboys offered Prescott $33 million a year with $105 million guaranteed but that’s fake news. There has been little to no progress when it comes to long-term extensions for Prescott or Cooper. NFL free agency begins on March 18th at 4PM and the Cowboys still haven’t made a decision of who they’ll re-sign or use the franchise tag on. Time is ticking and NFL rumors from the scouting combine were circulating that Amari Cooper could be on his way out. Cooper said that he wants to stay with the Cowboys, it all comes down to how much Cooper is asking for. It’s no secret that Amari Cooper wants to be the highest paid WR in the NFL but do the Cowboys have the confidence in Cooper to shell out that kind of cash?

Yannick Ngakoue, on the other hand, has been vocal about wanting OUT of Jacksonville. The Jaguars edge rusher tweeted last week about his desire to continue his career elsewhere and Bleacher Report suggested that fresh start could be in Dallas. The Cowboys have DeMarcus Lawrence, however, the BR trade proposal would send Ngakoue to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2nd and 5th round pick. Who says no to that trade?

NFL Rumors have also pegged Tyler Eifert as a realistic target for the Dallas Cowboys. We’re only giving this story one star though. Jason Witten has remained constant that he wants to play next season but we all know that it’s time to make Blake Jarwin the #1 TE. Eifert is only 29 years old however, he’s had his fair share of injuries and simply put: Eifert isn’t enough of an upgrade over Blake Jarwin to warrant the risk and money that would be involved.
