The Cowboys Report with Tom Downey takes a look at defensive players the Cowboys could draft in the first and in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Cowboys would love to land Georgia LB Roquan Smith, but it seems highly unlikely he'll be on the board. Instead, will someone like Washington's Vita Vea last? What other DTs could be a fit? Or is S Derwin James going to be the next member of the Cowboys' young secondary?
As for the second round, there will be numerous players the Cowboys could take, although offense might be the route Dallas goes. Tom takes a look at players like Texas LB Malik Jefferson, Texas S DeShon Elliott, LB Leighton Vander Esch of Boise State and Alabama S Ronnie Harrison.
