Two potential starters for the Dallas Cowboys are getting a second look at their injuries.
First round pick Byron Jones hurt his shoulder Sunday in practice. His first MRI came up clean, but the Cowboys want to be safe and get a second opinion. Jones suffered an injury to the same shoulder in 2014, ending his college career at UConn. He's expected to compete for playing time at cornerback and safety.
Ronald Leary started at left guard last year for the Cowboys, but might lose his job to La'El Collins. He's missed some time with a sore back, and will now have an MRI. Like Jones, the Cowboys expect Leary will be fine.
