NFL Free Agency starts on March 9th, and the next few days will feature several Dallas Cowboys rumors. While free agency doesn't officially start until Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday are "legal tampering" days. That means teams can discuss contracts with any player, although a deal can't be signed until Wednesday. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Cowboys.
Cowboys Don't Want RGIII?
The Cowboys need a backup QB, but it might not be Robert Griffin III.
Contrary to what I'm hearing from a few analysts, I do not believe the Dallas #Cowboys are in play right now for Robert Griffin.

Griffin was officially cut today by the Redskins and several teams will be interested in him. However, the Cowboys might not be one of them. There have been a few reports that the Cowboys believe Griffin doesn't fit the offense, and that the team will target other QBs this offseason.
Colt McCoy And Chase Daniel In Play?
If it's not going to be RGIII, the Cowboys could target a pair of backup QBs, both of whom are from Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
"Although the Cowboys have been linked to Griffin and [Johnny] Manziel in national reports, Dallas is more likely to pursue Texas prep products Colt McCoy or Chase Daniel in free agency as a veteran backup for Tony Romo."
McCoy went to the University of Texas and was recently spotted at a basketball game with Romo and TE Jason Witten. McCoy played for the Redskins last year, while Daniel was with the Chiefs.
