At his Tuesday press conference, Dallas Cowboys HC Jason Garrett contradicted an ESPN report that Cowboys QB Tony Romo is out for the year.
Romo was reportedly shelved for the season after a MRI on Monday showed a season-ending back injury, but according to Garrett, that report was premature and the Cowboys have yet to make a decision with regards to Romo's status against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

If Romo is unable to play, the Cowboys will turn to backup Kyle Orton. Orton hasn't played a full NFL game since 2011, when he was with the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite Garrett's statement on Romo's status, Adam Schefter and Chris Mortenson maintain that Romo requires surgery and will be unable to play on Sunday.
