Dallas Cowboys Season is Over: Positive and Negative Reactions

Football fans watched with a wide variety of emotions as the Dallas Cowboys' season ended dramatically against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tony Romo's back injury in Week 16 meant Kyle Orton took over as the quarterback, and Orton turned out to be the one who threw an interception that ended the game (and the season) for Dallas - and in turn sent the Eagles flying into the NFC wild-card round. For the third straight season, the Cowboys ended the year with an 8-8 record and no playoff appearance.

There were both positive and negative reactions to unfortunate events in Dallas last week.

Lets take a look, starting with the bad and ending with the good.

Negative reactions:

Pictures like the one below been spreading across social media sites, clearly hammering home that the Dallas Cowboys are no longer on the road to the playoffs.

In addition to the images making fun of the Cowboys, some fans also took to social media to vent their frustration:

Positive reactions:

Despite the ending for Dallas, there were still fans who came out looking up, and showed their positive spirit online:

Now, the Cowboys can focus on the draft and getting players that will help them succeed both offensively and defensively.

They now have a longer time for all players to get healthy and prepare during the off season.

After much speculation, Jason Garrett is still the Cowboys head coach.

Looking negatively at a season that's over won't lead to success in the future. Dallas players need to work hard to get out of the rut they're stuck in, and fans need to think positive to help keep the atmosphere around Dallas positive and enthusiastic.
