Good news! Dallas Cowboys now all have their top pick Travis Frederick under contract. And this goes the same for their 2013 rookies!
It was just yesterday that it was announced that center player Frederick has signed a contract for four years that comes with a team option of a fifth year. This option can be exercised by the team with a salary that is similar to the average of the third to 25th top paid centers within the league.
He was the top pick during the 2013 NFL draft and was even picked as No. 31 overall pick. With this signing, the Dallas Cowboys now have all their rookies for 2013 signed too. The details of Frederick were not made public but there are estimates which say he signed for $6.9 million, with $5.5 million of that already guaranteed. It also came with a signing bonus of about $3.4 million.
He is set by the Cowboys to anchor the middle of the team’s offense line since this is the part where the team had issues in the past. With the OTAs, Frederick is seen to be a starter once day one starts.
