The Dallas Cowboys are looking for ways they can improve their pass rush, and Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo seems to be a top target.
Orakpo has had a lot of success when healthy, but injury problems have cost him games and the Redskins are ready to cut ties with him because of that. According to ESPN's Todd Archer, Dallas is concerned, too, but not enough to be scared away.
Brian Orakpo is intriguing. I know the Cowboys have a lot of respect for him and how hard he plays. They really think a lot of Ryan Kerrigan, too, speaking of Washington pass rushers. Orakpo has had three pectoral tears that have cost him games. That’s a red flag for sure. But if the money is low, then I can see that happening, but if I had an either/or I’d vote for Spencer returning.
Orakpo has played outside linebacker in the Redskins' 3-4 scheme, but he played 4-3 defense end in college and could easily switch back in Dallas.
