Cowboys rumors were buzzing earlier over the cut of respected star DE DeMarcus Ware. It Another is now being confirmed which may not be as jarring to members of the Cowboys Nation.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport has just confirmed that the Dallas Cowboys will release wide receiver Miles Austin, delaying the paperwork until June 1st for salary cap reasons--
The #Cowboys are set to release WR Miles Austin and designate him a post-June 1 cut, per source.

While the cut will not give the Dallas Cowboys any cap space to work with during this current free agency period, it will give the Cowboys the flexibility of having Austin's salary cap hit spread over the next couple seasons starting in June.
If the Cowboys would have released Miles Austin outright, his current $8.25 million hit would only have been reduced to $7.86 million for 2014. Instead, post-June 1st, his contract will be converted to $2.75 million in dead money--saving the Dallas Cowboys $5.5 million.
Miles Austin suffered a litany of varying hamstring injuries in 2013, limiting him to just 11 games with the Cowboys. He started just eight of those contests, posting just 244 receiving yards with no touchdowns.
Austin's production has been spotty at best since his Pro Bowl seasons of 2009 and 2010 in which he amassed over 1,000 yards each season (along with 18 receiving touchdowns). His 244 yards in 2013 was Austin's worst total since his designated kick returner days with the Cowboys in 2007.
