In Cowboys news tonight, starting quarterback Tony Romo isn't planning on giving up his spot anytime soon. In fact, he promises that he will remain the Dallas Cowboys' starter for the next half-decade.
Per Nick Schwartz of For The Win, Romo was asked in a radio interview with 105.3FM in Dallas on Wednesday whether he felt like he, at 34-years-old, can make through the six-year, $108 million extension that he signed with the team in 2013:
"It’s a good question, it’s a question that could be asked….," Romo said. "There’s no question in my mind that not only will I make it though 16 games – I’ll make it through another five years.”
Romo also commented on his current health status as he finishes up rehabilitation from surgery for a herniated disc: "I feel like within the next month [I'll] be 100%. Hopefully it’s in the next week or two, which is a viable and serious time that it actually could happen in. You know, it could be another two or three weeks."
That's good news for Dallas Cowboys fans going into what will be a pivotal 2014 NFL season for many members of the team.
