The Dallas Cowboys saw their season end in dramatic fashion in the NFC Divisional Playoffs to the Green Bay Packers, and now have a multitude of questions facing them the offseason.
One of the most pressing issues is the contract of head coach Jason Garrett, which expires when the league year ends. Jones says retaining Garrett is his top priority:
“I know it’s certainly one of the orders of the day, beginning right this minute,” Jones said. “We’re through playing. That’s usually when that steps up and gets at the top of your list. In general, this staff is one that you’d like to keep going, with a lot of other things influencing your ability to keep a staff together, especially since you’re dealing with about 23 of them.”
Dallas also has the issue of of stars DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant being free agents this offseason, and the Cowboys want to figure out a way to bring both of them back.
