Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will likely either be franchise tagged or be faced with free agency after the 2014 NFL season, necessitating, in his mind, a change in representation.
Per Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk, Bryant has dumped agent Eugene Parker along with hiring Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports in an as of yet unknown capacity.
According to Florio, "the company has announced the acquisition of Bryant as a client. It’s unclear, however, whether Bryant has selected Roc Nation Sports only for marketing or for contract negotiations."
NFLPA records list Bryant as having no agent, meaning that both Parker has been fired and no official agent has been hired as of this time.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has attempted to initiate negotiations with Bryant directly on previous occasions, but the dynamic wideout declined to engage.
Parker had been Bryant's agent since the beginning of his NFL career, remaining with Bryant despite an early career full of controversy.
It is unknown as of this writing why Dez decided to part ways with Parker.
