In Cowboys news today, Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones says that the organization hasn't fully ranked all of the quarterbacks on their draft board as of yet -- including former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel.
According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, "there has been talk about reported interest" in Manziel, but Jones has made it clear "that making a call on Manziel will require the team to make their assessments of all the draft’s quarterbacks and he says that’s something the team hasn’t done yet."
“There’s not anything I can say about it,” Jones stated, via the Dallas Morning News. “We haven’t quite gotten into sorting out the quarterbacks yet, that will come, in terms of finalizing our board.”
With Tony Romo being 34-years-old and coming off of major back surgery, the Dallas Cowboys could be looking toward the 2014 NFL Draft as a means of finding the heir apparent to him at starting quarterback -- especially since they have 11 picks slated.
This is also dependent upon whether or not the Cowboys think that Brandon Weeden or Caleb Hanie are viable options for a succession plan down the road.
