The Dallas Cowboys are 2-7 and in desperate need of a win against the 4-5 Miami Dolphins. The Cowboys are feeling more confident than they have in weeks, thanks to the return of QB Tony Romo. Boosted by Romo, the Cowboys will get that needed win. Here are three reasons why the Cowboys will CRUSH the Dolphins.
3. Lack of Cameron Wake
The Dolphins pass rush wasn't great with Wake, and it's in a rough spot without him. The Cowboys offensive line is one of the best in the NFL and should be able to give Tony Romo plenty of time in the pocket. With little pass rush, Romo will be able to pick apart a mediocre Dolphins secondary.
2. Poor Miami Run Defense
The Dolphins have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. Only the Browns allow more running yards per game. Miami is giving up 135.6 per game, which bodes well for a Dallas team that has run the ball well this season. The Cowboys are picking up 119 yards per game, good for ninth in the NFL. That's a huge advantage for the Cowboys, so expect a big day from Darren McFadden. A strong running game will make life easier on the defense and open up the passing game for Romo.
1. Return Romo
It's been a rough two months without Romo for the Cowboys. Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel were ineffective at QB and they couldn't get the Cowboys any wins. But now that Romo is back, the Cowboys have new life. He's a vastly superior QB than either Weeden or Cassel the Cowboys will be much better off with him at the helm. In his first game back, there's no way that Romo will allow the Cowboys to lose. No matter what it takes, Romo will give the Cowboys a win this week.
