The Dallas Cowboys finally got back in the win column with a dramatic victory over the Redskins on Monday night, and they're looking to continue that mometum this weekend against Green Bay. Here are three reasons why the Cowboys will beat the Packers this weekend:
3) Improved Matt Cassel
Dallas got their first win of the season with someone other than Tony Romo starting under center last week, and Cassel's improved play was one of the biggest reasons why. He passed for 223 yards and didn't turn the ball owner, keeping the Cowboys' offense on schedule. While they only found the end zone once, they were able to move the ball fairly consistently.
2) Disappointing Packers' offense
Green Bay's offense has been far from the well-oiled machine we've come to expect from them over the past six games, and that has caused them to lose four games in that time frame. Dallas' defense is hitting their stride at the right time, holding three of their last four opponents to 16 points or less. Expect the Cowboys' pass rush to disrupt Aaron Rodgers and the Packers all game, allowing Dallas to control the tempo.
1) Green Bay's struggles at home
While Lambeau Field is usually one of the toughest places to play in the league, Green Bay has lost their last two home games - both to teams with losing records. Dallas nearly (and quite frankly, should have) beat the Packers in Lambeau in the playoffs last year, showing they have what it takes to get it done.
