The Dallas Cowboys chances of making the playoffs are over after a 21-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Christmas Eve. This means only one thing it's time to look forward to the 2018 NFL Draft. The draft is hosted in AT&T Stadium this year, which means Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is going to put on a show. Jones will be looking to one-up the Philadelphia Eagles draft last year and what better way than drafting quality players that get the Cowboys fans going. Here are three players the Cowboys should target in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Vita Vea, DT, Washington
Vita Vea is the perfect fit for the Cowboys as a 1-technique nose guard. Not only can he stuff the run, he can get after the quarterback. Vea would be able to stay on the field when the Cowboys use their 3-DL defense, which also allows DT Maliek Collins to move back to 3-technique.
Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
Roquan Smith is undersized in terms of an NFL linebacker, but he makes up for it with his speed. The Cowboys have question marks surrounding their linebackers with Anthony Hitchens becoming a free agent in 2018, Sean Lee often hurt and Jaylon Smith still recovering from a knee injury sustained his senior year of college. Smith is a weakside LB who can step up when Lee is out and rotate with Smith. With all that being said, Smith may not make it to the Cowboys' selection.
Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
It may be time for the Cowboys to think about replacing Dez Bryant. He has zero 100 yard receiving games this year and seems to have lost a step or two in his game. Ridley is older than you'd like a first-round wide receiver to be since he is 23 now and will be 24 as a rookie. For comparison, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper is 23 years old and already in his third NFL season. Ridley's skill set fits great with quarterback Dak Prescott's play style. His route running ability allows him to get open on his own and he can instantly help the Cowboys. There's a good chance he doesn't last, especially if the Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
