Last night, Wilfried Zaha fired Ivory Coast past Mali and into the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a close range effort coolly slotted home under pressure from 'keeper Djigui Diarra.
Zaha's goal was his second in consecutive matches at this year's AFCON in Eygpt, and saw Ivory Coast progress in their first knockout round to book a place against Algeria on Thursday 11th at 5pm BST.
The Algerians, captained by Riyad Mahrez, are currently unbeaten and are yet to concede a goal during the competition thus far.
Elsewhere, Cheikhou Kouyate led Senegal to a 1-0 victory over Uganda and will be facing Benin tomorrow (Wednesday 10th July), meaning he could be on a collision course with Palace teammate Zaha in later rounds.
