Crystal Palace Under-23s lost to a single goal against Bolton Wanderers at Palace's Beckenham training ground today.
The Eagles were on top for large swathes of the clash, which was a tight, scrappy affair but lost as they couldn't open their account against a visiting Wanderers side who haven't kept a clean sheet since October 15th.
For the first half, despite finishing it behind, Palace were the superior team throughout, with their best chance coming as Gio McGregor turned in the box before hitting a ball which was pushed wide by shot-stopper James Aspinall. McGregor came close again minutes later, but in front of an open goal, the ball crossed into him was just intercepted.
