Crystal Palace Under-23s beat a visiting Colchester United 4-1, with Levi Lumeka, Kian Flanagan and Rob Street netting the Eagles' goals.
The two teams were separated on 55 minutes, when Flanagan rifled the ball into United's net to score Palace's second of the day. Coming from the bench, Street then netted twice to finish the game with Palace as clear victors.
Both sides began the match testing one another tamely, as TQ Addy struck low to the right of an out-stretched Callum Coulter within five minutes only to see his effort saved well. From this, Colchester broke quickly and forced Joe Tupper into a firm save.
