Andros Townsend’s equalising goal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon means he has scored three Premier League goals against Chelsea, more than he has against any other opponent.
The goal came on the back of a good start to the second half for Roy Hodgson’s side after they had gone in at the break trailing to an Alvaro Morata opening goal of the afternoon.
Reflecting on the defeat, Townsend found it a difficult one to take against a Chelsea side still unbeaten this season.
“We came out in the second half firing as we wanted to get in their faces and not give them time on the ball.
