Crystal Palace may take part in the opening match of Tottenham Hotspur's new 62,062-seater stadium.
The opening game at 'the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium' will either be against Palace or Brighton & Hove Albion.
The curtain raiser is subject to both a safety certificate, and the outcome of Brighton & Hove Albion’s FA Cup match on Sunday 17th March.
If Brighton win their FA Cup quarter-final match on Sunday 17th March, Spurs will indeed host Crystal Palace on Wednesday 3rd April (and then face Brighton on 23rd/24th April).
If Brighton lose their FA Cup quarter-final match on Sunday 17th March, Spurs will host Brighton on 6th or 7th April (subject to Champions League scheduling) and then Crystal Palace on 23rd/24th April.
