On an afternoon of few positives for the south Londoners, it was great to see Jeffrey Schlupp back in the matchday squad and eventually coming on for some valuable Premier League minutes - the first time in the competition since going off after 22 minutes against Manchester City at Selhurst Park in April.
Speaking to Eagles TV post-match about his return, the Ghanaian said: "I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get fit to try and help the boys. But it wasn’t the best result or performance we wanted but on a personal note it’s good to be back fit.
