Sam Allardyce believes that Crystal Palace's performance against Watford on Monday afternoon was 'encouraging' but admits his side should have won.
Allardyce was taking charge of his first match as Crystal Palace manager and the Eagles got off to the perfect start after Yohan Cabaye put them ahead in the opening half.
However, the Eagles let a point slip from their grasp when Troy Deeney converted a penalty after Damien Delaney brought down Sebastian Prodl in the 71st minute.
And the former England boss insists he is 'pleased with the performance of the team' despite not taking away all three points from Vicarage Road.
