Crystal Palace aim to have star striker Jean-Phillippe Mateta available for their FA Cup quarter-final against Fulham as he recovers from Millwall keeper Liam Roberts' horror challenge.
Mateta required 25 stitches to a wound on his left ear after Roberts careered into him at pace during the early stages of Palace's FA Cup fifth round win over the Championship side last week.
The FA have since applied to have Roberts' standard three-game suspension extended given the severity of the tackle.
Mateta is set to miss this weekend's game versus Ipswich after which Palace don't play again until after the international break, though they have scheduled a friendly against Norwegian side Ham Kam during a mid season break in Marbella next week.
