The Premier League have revealed champions Manchester City won a staggering £153million in prize money last season.
Pep Guardiola's men won their fourth title in five seasons in 2021/22 after a dramatic final day which saw them come from two goals down to beat Aston Villa and pip Liverpool to the crown.
Finishing first saw City earn a UK merit payment - which is divided according to final league position - of nearly £34m as well as a further £7m internationally.
Whilst the Premier League comes in for a lot of criticism at times one of the things that it has historically got right is the democratic way in which it distributes money between clubs.
