Crystal Palace Ladies fought off a threatening comeback from Leicester City Women on Sunday to clinch three points away from home thanks to goals from Nikita Whinnett and Gemma Bryan.
Though the first half of the clash was a tight affair and little was created by either side, Palace saw the first notable effort go begging when Fran Ali had a crack at the Foxes' goal only for Demi Lambourne to pull off a smart save.
Other than a few tame attempts at goal from both teams, the game's opening 45 then failed to yield anything to warm the watching crowd's hands.
