Arsenal legend and fired former Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has reportedly shown interest in becoming the next head coach of the United States men's national team.
Sources have told ESPN that Vieira was contacted by the United States Soccer Federation, and while those talks haven't progressed, Vieira is very intrigued by the challenge presented in America, and believes the young team has great potential.
The 46-year-old Frenchman was fired at Palace in March with the team sporting a pitiful 0-5-6 record. If there is a positive takeaway from Vieira's time with the Eagles it's that he coached Chris Richards, an American center back on the USMNT.
