Crystal Palace full-back Patrick Van Aanholt will require surgery on his dislocated shoulder, manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed.
The club feared the worst after Van Aanholt left the field on a stretcher against Manchester United on Thursday, with Hodgson admitting the Dutchman could miss the start of next season.
Veteran boss Hodgson confirmed the extent of the injury during his pre-match press conference ahead of Monday's clash with Wolves, revealed: 'Pat has dislocated his shoulder and will require surgery.
