Meyer apologises to his teammates after Everton draw

With the benefits of a full pre-season with the Eagles for Max Meyer abundantly clear this afternoon at Selhurst Park, the midfielder discussed the 90 minutes against Everton.

As the game ticked on, their was a growing sense around Selhurst Park that Everton were there for the taking, as Roy Hodgson's side grew in every aspect.

Meyer was in full agreement that the south Londoners were more than deserving of all three points, and although its important to start the season unbeaten, the midfielder wanted the win: "Not [happy] with the one [point] because I think we deserved more because of the second half we played really well and I think we deserved to win.
