Max Meyer's frustrating spell at Crystal Palace finally comes to an end as the club terminates the German's contract in order to offload his huge £170,000-a-week contract

Max Meyer has left Crystal Palace, after the club confirmed that they have terminated the German's contract.

Meyer, who has played four times for Germany, was signed in August 2018, which, at the time, was seen as a massive coup, as Palace only had to pay £450,000 in compensation fees for the then 23-year-old.

The only setback of that deal was that his wages came at a cool £170,000 per week plus bonuses, which Palace have been desperate to offset due to his lack of impact at the club.
