Manchester United haven't given up on Donny van de Beek just yet, refusing to include the option for a permanent move in the Dutchman's Everton loan deal.
The midfielder has rejected interest from Crystal Palace to spend the rest of the season at Goodison Park, having been denied a single Premier League start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick and Ralf Rangnick in 2021/22.
The deal could have been done six months earlier, when a seething Van de Beek sacked his agent following the breakdown of a short-term Everton move in the summer.
