Mamadou Sakho opens up after being wrongly accused of failing drugs test: 'I worked so hard for Euro 2016... they cannot replace what they took away'

Mamadou Sakho says he will never get back what was taken from him after he was wrongly accused of failing a drugs test.

The 27-year-old tested positive for fat burner higenamine – a substance which was not on World Anti-Doping Agency's banned list.

Sakho served a suspension before UEFA dismissed the case in July, but only after the France international had missed the Europa League final with Liverpool and Euro 2016 on home soil.
