Mamadou Sakho took the opportunity to get away to Rome before Crystal Palace's crunch clash with Everton next weekend.
Sakho, who is currently enjoying time off over the international break, and his family jetted off to the Italian capital over the weekend to explore some of the city's famous sites.
And the Palace man took to Instagram on Sunday night to post a photo of his family posing at the Colosseum, alongside the caption: 'Great weekend at Rome with Majda Sakho, Sienna and Aida.'
The former Liverpool defender has grabbed the opportunity to enjoy some downtime with his loved ones before turning his attentions back to football.
