Roy Hodgson will continue to consider Jason Puncheon for selection after holding lengthy talks with the Crystal Palace captain over his police charge for assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 31-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Sunday following a fight near a Surrey nightclub and has been bailed to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court on January 5.
Hodgson commented on the situation for the first time on Thursday and said any disciplinary action against Puncheon will wait until the conclusion of court proceedings.
'He is available for selection,' Hodgson said.
