Jason Puncheon to depart Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace midfielder Jason Puncheon will depart the club at the end of the season after nearly six years of service when his contract expires.

At first joining on loan from Southampton in 2013, Puncheon earned a permanent move to south London in January 2014 and has made his name as a combative central midfielder during Palace’s longstanding spell in the top flight of English football.

Several of his 16 goals in 169 Palace appearances have come at crucial points in the club's recent history, and his performances saw Puncheon rewarded with the captaincy towards the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
