Comedian and actor Eddie Izzard joined 130 Crystal Palace fans over the weekend for a marathon-length charity walk to raise funds for Palace for Life Foundation’s work with vulnerable young south Londoners.
Izzard, a Foundation patron, was at a soaking Selhurst Park bright and early to officially start the Marathon March, powered by Utilita, joining Eagles fans as they headed through Thornton Heath and Mitcham towards Wimbledon Common.
He said: “Walking a marathon is a joy for me! It’s great to be here. It’s all about helping young people in south London and mental health is our focus this year.
