'It's up to senior players to pull them aside and say they're risking lives': Crystal Palace star Andros Townsend says players should listen to lockdown rules after a number of high-profile footballers breached them

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend believes it is the responsibility of senior players at each club to 'pull aside' team-mates who break social distancing rules and warn them 'they're risking people's lives.'

Premier League players have been able to return to their clubs this week for socially distanced training sessions with squads split into small groups of up to five.

It's the first step towards a potential resumption of the Premier League season in the middle of next month with remaining matches played behind closed doors.
