In his pre-match press conference today, Palace manager Roy Hodgson provided an injury update on the squad, giving particularly in-depth information of centreback Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho left the field of play during the Eagles' 4-1 victory over Leicester City, being replaced by Scott Dann as the game drew to a close.
Since then, he underwent a successful operation.
Hodgson elaborated on his situation, saying: "He’s recovering from the operation. It’s a weekly thing but we hope of course that he’ll recover. He's working very hard to recover but he only had the operation just over a week ago.
