Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson joins Crystal Palace

Former Portsmouth goalkeeper Stephen Henderson has signed for Crystal Palace on a season-long deal.

Henderson joins the club as a free agent following recent spells at Nottingham Forest, and loans at Pompey and Wycombe Wanderers.

A product of Aston Villa’s youth academy, Henderson made his professional debut in 2007 for Bristol City and has since played for clubs including West Ham United, Ipswich Town and Charlton Athletic.

A professional for more than 13 years, the 31-year-old ‘keeper brings a wealth of experience to SE25 and said upon signing: “It’s a privileged position so I’m delighted to get it over the line.
