Fiorentina rejected January bids for Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar from Watford and Crystal Palace

Fiorentina resisted offers from Watford and Crystal Palace for striker Khouma Babacar during the January transfer window, it has been claimed.

Watford were in the market for a forward during the winter window and showcased their intent when they signed M'Baye Niang on loan from AC Milan to boost their options.

However, it seems the Hornets also looked at other targets before making a move for Niang and it has been suggested that 23-year-old Babacar was also on their list.

It appears they had company in their quest to sign the Fiorentina striker as struggling Crystal Palace were also thought to be interested in signing the Senegalese hitman.
